The city of Salvador is the first Brazilian destination to join Safe Travels, the safe tourism seal recognized by the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC).
The agency published on its website, the recognition by the Bahia capital to adopt standardized global health and hygiene protocols.
The measures were presented by the City of Salvador, through the Secretariat of Culture and Tourism (Secult) and, then, duly analyzed and approved by the WTTC.
Secult Secretary, Pablo Barrozo celebrated the recognition of the work that the portfolio has been adopting over the past few months.
The Verified Seal, which guarantees sanitary and health certification, will be launched by Secult for establishments and companies focused on the tourism sector, such as bars, restaurants, hotels, inns, agencies, among others.
The plan is to guarantee strict hygiene and cleaning protocols and, in this way, prevent and control the spread of the new coronavirus and other infections.
